Father’s Day at Trinity
“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4This Father's Day, we reflected on the theme of Generations…
During our Ministry Spotlight, Jim Thomas and his son, Easton, shared how God has worked across generations in their family, reflecting on the legacy of faith, character, and discipleship they hope to pass on. Easton's two young sons, Emerson and Olen, joined them on stage, providing a sweet reminder—and plenty of cuteness—of the next generation they are investing in.
Service with a smile…
The theme carried beyond the service as many of our students joyfully served our church family by scooping ice cream, serving beverages, and handing out Father's Day swag. Watching the next generation not only learn about faith but actively serve others was a fitting picture of Psalm 145:4 in action.
After the service, everyone gathered in the Commons to enjoy family recipe cookies, an ice cream bar, a beverage bar, and a photo booth. And, of course, no Father's Day celebration would be complete without a few classic dad jokes sprinkled throughout the room—bringing plenty of smiles (and groans!).
While the treats were a hit, the lingering conversations and fellowship were the sweetest part of the morning—a beautiful reminder that the Church is a family, where one generation encourages, serves, and points the next to Jesus.
