Our Story

The historic church building, sitting at the top of the hill on 35th Ave SW in West Seattle,
has held its doors open to all of those who want to hear the truth of the Gospel since the 1920s.
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
- Matthew 5:14

The Church is...

The worldwide family of God, people from every nation, culture, and language who have been adopted into his family together. As God’s people, we each have unique stories, and each local church has its own history. Much of our history at Trinity is connected to the people who have called this building home over the decades. Hillcrest Presbyterian, Doxa Church, Mars Hill Church, and now us.

As with any family, we are imperfect. Throughout those years of various churches meeting in our historic building, there have been ups and downs, people have come and gone, there have been joys and sorrows. But the common thread through it all is what is common with the Church across the globe: we are seeking to leave a legacy that honors Jesus Christ and represents his grace, mercy, and love to everyone he affords us the privilege to.

We aspire to be a people and a place where you encounter Christ and are welcomed in his name!
